Super Bowl XLIV

This is a tough game for me to choose who to route for.

I tend to be a fan of players rather than teams and I’m a huge Manning fan. I also have a great deal of respect for Drew Brees.

Two things about Drew you have to love:

1) His legendary workouts and how his athleticism has helped him overcome not having the typical pro QB height.

2) The bet the Saints made on him after shoulders surgery and how well it has worked out for Drew, the team and the City of New Orleans.

Manning on the other hand has a shot at going down as the greatest quarterback ever. I always love when I get the chance to witness someone great in his prime.

-His legendary preparation and work ethic.

-Calling his own plays. Knowing what the defense is going to do and having an answer for it.

-His drive up to a rookie’s school to workout with him while he’s still finishing college class.

It’s tough for me to choose a side, but I’m going with Manning and the Colts.
